Talking about the &TV show, She said: "The show is promoting women empowerment.
Sorry to say but in today's modern society also there are places where widows are treated like they don't have any life left. Still there are places where it is not seen as an end."
She says besides this show, she is not doing anything else right now.
"All the talks that are happening regarding ads and films, I have put all that on hold right now and I am focusing on this show. I like to do one thing at a time," she said.
She said that she is ready to do films too and would love to be part of a "realistic" script.

Allama movie review: Allama, with a good book!

Movie: Allama

Cast: Dhananjay, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Meghana Raj, Ramakrishna, Sanchari Vijay
Director: TS Nagabharana

Rating :3.15
When a multiple award-winning director decides to do a movie on one of the most iconic historical personalities from the 12th Century - Allama Prabhu, the expectations are naturally high. Such a delicate subject requires to be handled with allmost care and precision, with no room for dissent or disappointment.
The movie which is an attempt to throw light on the life of Allama starts on a picture perfect note but unfortunately gets lost in its journey, leaving the audience in a state of confusion.
The first half of Allama gives a depiction of how the 12th century, despite its shortcomings, and the best parts are a few commendable performances.
Allama is regarded for his foresight and that is clearly reflected in his works, the majority of which are fortunately available even today. A film of this magnitude probably needed a simple narrative rather than making it too artistic.
Dhananjay does an exemplary job portraying Allama and stays honest to the era, and to the magnanimous character. It's a great sign for any actor to pull off such a challenge. Yet, Its as a whole is basically about the important phases of this much celebrated life - from childhood to sainthood.
Text-book language is the other drawback of Allama though the makers might be justified in keeping it real, but whether it was the way of life, is a little hard to grasp. For a layman who wants a peek at Allama, this film is beyond any reach of understanding, especially concepts like worldly pleasure.
It is not everybody's cup of tea. The audience needs a mini guidebook about Allama in simple text to watch the director's version of Allama. However, Dhananjay as Allama is outstanding and Meghana as Maya Devi is magical, before she vanishes after a brief role.
Watch this epic by Nagabharana for the performances, but to precisely understand the 'man', it is highly recommended to do an authentic search about the great saint and poet before venturing into this one.

I'll Contest for Only Jana Sena -Naga Babu

Naga Babu wants to contest on the behalf on Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena if his brother thinks him apt to contest. He'll try asking Pawan Kalyan that he is interested. "By 2018, Kalyan will complete his films and be active in politics".
There has been a talk that a particular had offered the Kakinada seat to mega brother Naga Babu to contest on the behalf of their party. When asked about the same, Naga Babu said that some political partied did approach him to contest, but he isn't interested.

Since politics isn't a 24-hour job, Pawan Kalyan must be doing films parallelly, at least one in two years like legendary NTR did while he was active in politics and also was the CM of united Andhra Pradesh.
He wants to make a separate program on Pawan Kalyan and politics.

Kajal: sign second item song.

Kajal Aggarwal, who created a sensation last year with her first ever item song 'Pakka Local' in Janatha Garage, has hinted that more such songs can be expected from her.

Looking at the diminishing chances as heroine, she is believed to have decided to make the most out of her remaining lifetime in filmdom by shaking her sexy booty in a couple of item songs. The ravishing siren has said that she has no qualms dancing to item songs in the films of even small heroes provided she was impressed with the song.

She officially demands for good songs to turn an item girl, insiders say that her primary demand is high remuneration and if that is met, she wouldn't care much especially as she is at the far end of her career. She seems to have taken a leaf out of Tamanna and Shruti Haasan's books who don't hesitate to do item songs in the films of upcoming heroes provided their hefty purses are filled.

Kajal has recently scored a hit with Khaidi No.150 . Except a film starring Rana, she doesn't have any other Telugu film. Let's see which filmmaker provides the cash err.. kick and sign Kajal for her second item song.

Review : Lakkunnodu – One more entertainment movie

Review : Lakkunnodu – One more entertainment movie

Release date : January 26, 2017
 Rating : 3.25/5
Director : Raj Kiran
Producer : M.V.V.Satyanarayana
Music Director : Achu Rajamani, Praveen Lakkaraju
Starring : Manchu Vishnu, Hansika Motwani
Story:-
Lucky(Vishnu) is a happy go lucky youth who is disliked by his father as he always brings bad luck into the family. On the other hand, close to 25 crores of new currency is looted by a deadly criminal(M V V Satyanarayana) who in turn gets cheated by his close aide.
The twist in the tale arises when Lucky accidentally stumbles upon this amount. Rest of the story is as to how Lucky manages to handle the huge cash and successfully gets it back to where it belongs. Also, how does he manage to impress to his dad and where does Hansika feature in this entire set up forms the other part of the story.
Plus Points:-
The last 15 minutes of the first half are the major assets of the film. The twists that are showcased during this time are quite interesting and have been executed quite well. Vishnu Manchu does his role sincerely and is a perfect fit in the entire set up. All his scenes with Posani and Prabhas Seenu have come out well.
The comedy that is generated between Vishnu and Satyam Rajesh evokes good laughs. Hansika looks beautiful but does not have much to do in the film. Vennela Kishore evokes some laughs here and there. Posani is efficient in his character and brings some relief during the second half.
A better and established villain could have made things a lot better. The family emotions showcased do have good. Vishnu and Hansika’s love seens are more entertaining.
Minus Points:-
One of the drawbacks of the film is the second half. After setting up the film nicely till the interval block, the story becomes quite silly as there is no seriousness in the proceedings. The way Vishnu makes a fool of the main villain looks over the top in some scenes.
Songs act like speed breakers and have been placed in wrong areas.
Technical Aspects:-
Dialogues by Diamond Ratna Babu are decent and so was the music by Achu. Production values were top notch and the background score was also impressive. The camera work is decent and showcases Hyderabad and the other set up of the film in a rich way.
Coming to the director Raj Kiran, he has done a very average job with the film. He sets up things quite interestingly for the second half but falters in his execution. The way he designs the cat and mouse game between the hero and villain is below average as there are many weak links and logics which go missing.
Verdict:-
Lakkunnodu has some decent moments going its way. An interesting interval block, good comedy by Vishnu and gang are some assets. However, a slightly dragged out second half and lack of grip in the proceedings during this time makes this film musty watch this weekend.

Kaabil Movie Review

HRITHIK HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO BE KAABIL

KAABIL STORY: When they get hitched, visually-impaired couple Rohan Bhatnagar (Hrithik) and Supriya Sharma (Yami) light up each other’s lives. Unfortunately their dark world goes topsy-turvy when Supriya is raped and Rohan finds the policemen playing blind’s man’s bluff. Leaving him with no choice, but to take the law into his own hands.

KAABIL REVIEW: Revenge is a dish best served blind is the message Kaabil serves up. Drawing inspiration from Hollywood’s Blind Fury (1989) with Rutger Hauer in the lead and even borrowing shades of the Korean super hit, Broken (2014), Sanjay Gupta gives you a Bollywood adaptation that is entertaining and effective.
For starters he lovingly sets up the beautiful world of a blind couple--Rohan, a proficient dubbing artiste and Supriya, a talented pianist--who despite their handicap have a positive disposition towards life. In just two scenes, you can feel their love. So much so, when they get separated from each other for a few minutes at a mall, you start feeling anxious. Also, when this couple breaks into the Mon Amour dance, it’s so magical, you find yourself clapping gleefully. But whether it is life or a Bollywood thriller, life is definitely not all song and dance. When a cad, Amit Shellar (Rohit Roy) and his scum-buddy Wasim(Sahidur Rahman) rape Supriya, Rohan’s world is plunged into even more darkness than the one he is born into.

Also Read: Kaabil Review: See what Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have to say about Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’

Predictably the rapist Amit is the brother of the local corporator, Madhavrao Shellar(Ronit Roy), so the corrupt police officers, played efficiently by Narendra Jha and Girish Kulkarni, drag their feet over the investigation. When the humiliation gets too much to bear, Supriya caves in, leaving Rohan with vendetta on his mind. Here’s the film shifts gear and though you know what’s next, the cat and mouse game still gives you an adrenaline rush. Every time the blind vigilante commits an atrocity, you whistle in the aisle.

The highlight of the film is Hrithik’s bravura performance. He is vulnerable as a lover and menacing as a killing-machine. Half a star in the movie-rating is reserved for his all-time best performance here. Yami provides the perfect foil, subtle and super-effective.

Technically the film is adept, Thanks to with masters like Sudeep Chatterjee (camera) and Resul Pookutty(sound). However Rajesh Roshan’s yesteryear hits—saara zamana and dil kya karen in their remixed avatars are pale imitations of their original versions.

Raees Movie Review

DOUBLE BATTERY, SINGLE POWER

RAEES STORY: Raees Alam runs an illegal alcohol empire in a Gujarat shrouded in prohibition; ACP Majmudar is in charge of toppling him off his high position. Will Raees’s own brand of righteousness save him?
RAEES REVIEW: Gear up for a throwback to the great Salim-Javed blockbusters of the Seventies, where the hero grows up mid-action, every second line is meant to show off the character’s swagger, a Helen song (Sunny Leone here) breaks the tension and action sequences compel you to whistle.

Carrying that legacy forward, is Raees. Shah Rukh Khan plays the titular character of a spectacled goon who hates being called “battery”; he starts from harmless Ponzi schemes but graduates to pre-planned rackets and becomes the top bootlegger of his town. When ACP Majmudar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is posted in his area, he meets his equal. Raees forms a nexus with politicians who fuel his business, but he soon becomes the thorn in their side.

Also Read: Mahira Khan on her ‘Raees’ co-star: Shah Rukh Khan spoilt me for life

The first half is well-paced; it draws you in and makes you root for the bootlegger; Majmudar’s one-liners and the music whet your appetite and the Laila Main Laila sequence ups the ante. But the second half plunges into a weird Robin Hood zone where the antihero’s morals are suddenly defibrillated and he becomes a messiah. The movie takes a rough path there on, and the long runtime makes the ride bumpier.

Shah Rukh Khan has never looked better; he’s full of fury and for once, isn’t spreading his arms, but breaking others’. The film lies entirely on his shoulders and he carries the weight most of the times. When he doesn’t, the ever-so-reliable Nawazuddin Siddiqui steps in with his crackling performance. In the trademark Nawaz style, he delivers some comic relief while playing the Tom to Khan’s Jerry. Mahirah is restricted to songs and a few emotional scenes, but doesn’t really add much. If her purpose was to soften the baddie, it’s lost on the viewer.

The movie can feel a bit long, but if you’re going for a great Shah Rukh performance and some good ol’ popcorn-entertainment, it might just ‘raees’ to the occasion.

Nenu Local Theatrical Trailer - Nani, Keerthy Suresh | Devi Sri Prasad | Dil Raju

Gunturodu - Guts, gallantry & 'Gunturodu'

Manchu Manoj, playing the titular role, is not going to let his villain (Sampath Raj has a prominently glorified villain's role) sleep.  His blood-red eyes tell a story of its own.  We got to wait for the movie to know the reason behind it.  For now, it's clear that Rajendra Prasad's character has a central role in the story.
Expect a story filled with fun and emotions.  Then there is Pragya Jaiswal, the elegant 'Kanche' damsel.  When he is not warning the villain, 'Gunturodu' is into reeling off romantic literature.  "Bhoomi meeda devathalu thirugutunte, yuddhalu cheyali bava," so goes a line.
The happy-go-lucky hero has a batch of 'thotti' gang.  Among them are Praveen and Sathya.  There is the much-happening Prudhvi, too.
Rao Ramesh and Kota Srinivas Rao are seen in other important roles.
Written and directed by SK Satya, it's music director is Sri Vasanth.  Siddharth Ramswamy is the cinematographer.  Venkat is the action director.

Winner - The determined winner

Coming in the direction of Gopichand Malineni and produced by Lakshmi Narasimha Productions' Srinivas (Bujji) and ‘Tagore’ Madhu, 'Winner' stars Sai Dharam Tej and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
The recently-released teaser, which has become a super hit in terms of YouTube views, shows up the Mega hero as a true blue mass hero, complete with punch lines and gravity-defying punches.  Coming with a sports backdrop (at least partially), it has Rakul playing a strong-willed woman, once again after 'Nannaku Prematho'.
Anasuya Bharadwaj has a special song opposite Teju.  Boasting of high-end production values, its climactic action episodes were shot in Istanbul, besides another biggie in Bulgaria.
If the story is by Veligonda Srinivas, Abburi Ravi and Sreedhar Seepana are the writers.

Luckkunnodu Preview

Manchu Vishnu's 'Luckkunnodu', directed by Raj Kiran of 'Geethanjali' and 'Tripura' fame will hit the screens in Februrary.  Produced by MVV Sathyanarayana, the entertainer boasts of all the commercial ingredients.  As the producer will tell you, all the popular comedy artists are a part of the cast.
The screenplay and dialogues are by the formidable Diamond Rathna Babu.  As for Vishnu and Hansika, the lead pair, they are teaming up once again after the successful 'Denikaina Ready' and 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda'.
Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, Prabhas Srinu, and Sathyam Rajesh are playing other roles.  Music is by Atchu.  Art direction is by Chinna.  Cinematography is by PG Vinda.

The 'Guru' of entertainment is coming this April.  The Telugu remake of 'Saala Khadoos' ('Irudhi Suttru' in Tamil), although done with the shoot, has chosen to wait till Summer.  Written and directed by Sudha Kongara, the one who directed the original, this sports drama presents Venkatesh in a look he has never tried.  That 'Victory' is playing his age (well, allow him a leeway of 10 or so years) is welcome.
Produced by Sashikant of Y Not Studios, it's presented by Prasad V Potluri.   Starring Ritika Singh as Venky's disciple, it also sees the coming together of a range of relatively less familiar faces, with the exception of Nasser perhaps.   Mumtaz Sorcar, Nasser, Radha Ravi, Zakir Hussain, and Kaali Venkat, among others, are part of the cast.  Ritika is a huge Pawan Kalyan fan in the movie.  Harshavardhan, who has penned the dialogues for films like 'Ishq' and 'Manam', is the dialogue-writer.
Music is by Santosh Narayanan of 'Kabali' fame. The cinematography is by KA Sakthivel.  Editing is by Sathish Surya.  Art direction is by Jacki.  Stunts are by Stunner Sam.

Chitrangada

Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual 'Chitrangada' ('Yarni' in Tamil) is directed by Ashok G of 'Pilla Jamindaru' fame.  Touted as a horizontal thriller-comedy, a "never-seen-before genre in India", it stars Anjali in a trendy role.
Boasting of a number of twists and turns, the premise pertains to how, due to some intangible forces, Chitrangada's life falls in danger.  What all circumstances she has to wade through in her attempt to wriggle free, forms the crux.  Shot extensively in the US, the film's post-production works were also completed in that country.
Although long done with the shoot, completing the Computer Graphics has been consuming a lot of time, as per the makers.
Sindhu Tulani, Sapthagiri and Raksha have key roles.   Music-directed by Selvaganeshan and Swaminathan. Editing is by Prawin Pudi.  Cinematography is by Bal Reddy.  Story, screenplay, dialogues and direction is by Ashok G.

Balam - When there is strength

'Balam' in Telugu, will reportedly be a big release in the Telugu States.  Telling the story of two blind lovers (Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautham), it's directed by Sanjay Gupta.
Going by the trailer, the film is a cornucopia of romance, action, angst and violence.  The sleek cuts, among others, could well make it a wonderful watch.
Produced by Rakesh Roshan, this is yet another film in the father-son combo, 'Krrish', 'Krrish3', 'Koi Milgaya', 'Kaho Na Pyar Hai' being the previous ones.  Thus, expectations from the new film are naturally high.  Rajesh Roshan is the music director.  Sudeep Chatterjee and Ayananka Bose are the cinematographers.
